Following our Annual General Meeting on 12th September 2024, we are delighted to announce the appointment of two new Trustees to the LRG Board: Dr. Fei Mo and Dr. Kalliopi Pediaditi Prud’homme. Their appointments mark an exciting new chapter for LRG, further enriching the Board’s diversity and global perspective.

Dr. Fei Mo brings extensive academic and professional experience, while Dr. Kalliopi Pediaditi Prud’homme’s contributions from her work across Europe reflect the broad and multidisciplinary expertise now represented on the Board. Together, they add valuable insights that will help shape LRG’s ongoing growth and international engagement.

We look forward to the innovative ideas and leadership that our new Trustees will bring. Their combined experience and expertise, alongside our existing Board, ensure that LRG will continue to thrive as a forward-thinking and globally engaged organisation.

Dr. Fei Mo

Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture, Department of Landscape Architecture School of Design, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

LRG Trustee Dr Mo Fei 2024

Fei Mo is an Associate Professor of Landscape at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. Her academic journey began at Tongji University, followed by doctoral research at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Dr Mo’s research primarily focuses on the evolution of urban landscapes within the context of modernisation, particularly examining the international influences that shape these developments. In addition, she has conducted significant research on landscape conservation from an integrated historical and ecological perspective. 

Since 2011, Dr Mo has been teaching landscape history, theory, and design, and is recognised as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her multifaceted career reflects a deep commitment to advancing the field of landscape architecture through research, teaching, and professional engagement. In recognition of her work, Dr Mo was awarded a Summer Fellowship in Landscape Studies at Dumbarton Oaks, Harvard University, in 2013. She further enhanced her academic profile as a visiting scholar at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2024. 

Dr Mo’s professional experience is diverse, encompassing landscape research and practice across several countries, including France, Russia, the UK, the USA, Ecuador, and China. Currently, she serves as the SJTU Representative at the Sustainable Cities & Landscapes Research Hub of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities and holds the position of Associate Member within the IFLA-ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Cultural Landscapes. She also holds several other membership positions in the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture in the domains of cultural landscape, landscape history, and theory studies.

Dr. Kalliopi Pediaditi Prud'homme

LRG Trustee Kalliopi Pediaditi Prud'homme

Kalliopi Pediaditi Prud’homme is an environmental scientist with over twenty years of international experience in environmental and sustainable development projects. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in shaping environmental policies, notably as a Minister Advisor in Greece, where she contributed to the introduction of the National Landscape Policy. Her work has been driven by a passion for addressing landscape and environmental injustices, particularly those linked to unsustainable development practices.

As a dedicated activist, and educator, Kalliopi has consistently fought to protect natural and cultural landscapes and promote sustainable approaches to development. Her advocacy extends beyond policy work, as she is also a nature lover and artist committed to fostering a deep connection between people and their environment. Kalliopi new mission is to work with youth, communities, authorities and enterprises, using creative methods to inspire a closer relationship with nature and their surrounding landscapes. By blending science, policy, and art, she seeks to cultivate a more harmonious and sustainable coexistence between humans and nature, believing that creative expression can be a powerful tool for environmental change.
