About this Network

The Americas Landscape Research Network connects researchers and practitioners working across North, Central and South America, providing a platform for exchange on shared landscape challenges, research approaches and regional contexts. The network supports dialogue across countries, disciplines and traditions, recognising the diversity of landscapes across the Americas and the value of cross-regional collaboration.

The network currently centres on informal coffee hour discussions that bring together participants from across the Americas to share research, ideas and emerging themes. These sessions provide a flexible space for cross-regional exchange and act as a starting point for broader collaboration. There is strong potential to develop this activity further through additional discussions, collaborative initiatives and shared research themes as the network grows.

This network operates alongside the Latin American Landscape Research Network, with complementary roles. The Latin American network supports Spanish and Portuguese language exchange, while the Americas network enables broader cross-regional dialogue. Participants are welcome to engage in either or both networks.

As the network develops, there are opportunities to expand activity through collaborative exchanges, thematic discussions, and connections between institutions and researchers across the Americas. The network therefore offers scope for participants to help shape its future direction and contribute to building a stronger cross-regional community.

Participation is open to anyone interested in landscape research across the Americas.

We welcome researchers and practitioners working across Latin America to connect with others, share ideas and contribute to regional dialogue. To join in and participate with this networks’ informal gatherings, please sign up to the Americas Coffee Hour mailing list. To express your interest or learn more about how you can help us develop this network, please contact LRG directly.
