About this Network

The Maghreb Landscape Research Network connects landscape researchers and practitioners working across North Africa, with a particular focus on Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria. The network provides a forum for identifying and discussing landscape-related questions emerging from the region’s diverse social, cultural and environmental contexts.

Supported by the Landscape Research Group, the network aims to encourage regional and international exchange, strengthen connections between researchers and practitioners, and raise the visibility of landscape research emerging from North African contexts. Activities have included meetings, collaborative discussions and the sharing of research and practice-based outputs.

The network is currently seeking a new coordinator to support its next phase of development. This voluntary role offers an opportunity to help shape future activities, build regional connections and contribute to growing participation across the Maghreb. Expressions of interest are welcomed from researchers and practitioners interested in supporting landscape research collaboration in North Africa.

The Maghreb Landscape Research Network is currently in a state of pause. We welcome expressions of interest from researchers and practitioners working across North Africa who would like to help shape its next phase. If you are interested in contributing to the network, organising activities, or acting as coordinator, please contact Sarah Lawton to discuss how you can get involved.
